i know that douching with coca-cola will kill all the sperm and then she wont get pregnant, but does sprite work as well?
my wife is diabetic so she cant have any sugar, which means we can't use coke.

First, I thought you were completely insane b/c I've never heard of this, but then I found this link... http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/sperm.asp
Basically, it says that even though Coke kills some sperm, it doesn't kill all of them. Plus, by the time a douche is done, plenty of sperm have made their way up into the uterus and toward any egg that might be there. Since the Coke wouldn't get that high, it wouldn't kill those.
I don't understand why a diabetic would be concerned about putting sugar in her vagina for one (where it probably wouldn't be absorbed), although the sugar could cause a yeast infection. Second, Sprite also has sugar, so that doesn't help your cause.
The link I posted said that Krest bitter lemon drink (whatever that is) was very effective and that Diet Coke was actually better than regular Coke anyway. Regardless, I would not count on this as a good form of birth control.

First of all, Sprite has plenty of sugar. It's caffiene that Coke has that Sprite doesn't.
Second, douching with coca-cola (or anything else) will do nothing against pregnancy, that is an urban myth. It could even force the cells further up, increasing the chance of pregnancy a little. Maybe you'd want to hold off on the sex until you get your facts straight...

The whole idea is ridiculous. None the less, sugar feeds yeast so you wouldn't have used anything with sugar in it anyway. Douching with anything may not necessarily kill the sperm. And the more I read this...the more stupid it sounds. Do you not have a logical thought process?
Both coke and sprite have sugar and douching is not a healthy practice. My suggestion...condoms or permanent sterilization...stupid people shouldn't procreate.

what a waste of a decent question. GET out of the 60's and realize there are better ways of preventing pregnancy like staying away from you.

Douching is not good for you!!! You can cause serious infections and every doctor I have ever been to has told me never to do it, let alone with soda. You might need to consider using condoms, birth control pills or a diaphram.
