If she is 28 weeks pregnant on then her due date is in November. Here is why:
Today (August 24) marks end of week 28
Aug 31 – end of 29 weeks
Sept 7 – end of 30 weeks
Sept 14 – end of 31 weeks
Sept 21 – end of 32 weeks
Sept 28 – end of 33 weeks
Oct 5 – end of 34 weeks
Oct 12 – end of 35 weeks
Oct 19 – end of 36 weeks
Oct 26 – end of 37 weeks
Nov 2 – end of 38 weeks
Nov 9 – end of 39 weeks
Nov 16 – end of 40 weeks
40 weeks (9 full months) is considered TERM for a single birth.

40 weeks is normal gestation. Count on the calendar 11 weeks from now and you get Nov. 10. Sometimes there is a confusion with dates, because we often think of a woman being pregnant for 9 months. If you think of a month as having 4 weeks, you are off on the count because each month has more than 4 weeks in it (well, not usually Feb.). If you want to be more accurate, it's best to go with a weekly count vs. a monthly count. I can see how you'd come up with Oct. by thinking that 29 weeks = a little over 7 months and 2 months from now it's Oct.

I'm 30 weeks 1 day today and I'm due Oct 31....so being that your a weeks or so behind me the first week of November sounds about right...GOOD LUCK
Most first time single pregnancy moms have their babies between weeks 37-40...only 10% go over 40 to 41 and only 5% go on to 42 weeks(this is what my doctor told me)
SO I'm hoping to see my lil boy anwhere from Oct 5-Oct 30!!!!!!

Sometimes its hard for doctors to give you a straight answer on when a baby is to be born. I had been given 3 different answers when I was pregnant, one was Oct 20, then Oct. 23, then Oct. 29. I had my son on Nov. 2 and was told I was over 2 weeks.

I am 29 weeks pregnant myself. When I first went to see if I was pregnant, they told me that the baby is due nov7. When I had anther sonogram a couple of weeks ago, because of the size of the baby, the ultrasound screen showed my due date as oct 29. What is the date they gave your daughter.

If your daughter is 29 weeks as of today, then 40 weeks (the length of a pregnancy) is on November 10th. So your doctor is right.

I am 28 1/2 weeks pregnant. I am due November 14. So November 9, 10, 11 sounds on target. Congratulations!

Most people forget there are 4 and 1/2 weeks in a month. That's where the difference comes from.

The doc is right - you are pregnant for 40 weeks, 10 lunar months, not 9 months like most people think.
She has 11 weeks to go..November 9th is right
