Tripod is owned by Lycos and is receptive to complaints about questionable use of their webspace. The best course of action would be to complain to them:

Give the name of the site and the exact URL if you know it. Explain the situation. If this doesn't get immediate results you could have a few other people also submit complaints about the site. Tripod habitually shuts down websites that have 3 or more complaints filed against them.

hi Kate, in actual certainty that's an prolonged technique and you may desire to attend and notice, very affected person certainly. in basic terms for a 2nd, ignore that's a internet site and fake that's an unquestionably retail save. What would you do then? basic issues somewhat like having your information superhighway handle on company enjoying cards, letter heads and any merchandising and marketing pages maybe in loose newspapers, or something like which you would be able to think of of. that's involved in loose as you will have those besides. Now that's a information superhighway source and you go with to get human beings on your internet site so the respond is to tell as many human beings as you may approximately it. start up with buddies and relatives and optimistically they're going to tell their buddies besides. that would desire to get you some commencing site visitors. Then i'd advise writing articles and submitting those to the numerous on line article businesses. Then take area in any boards bearing on on your internet site. Make good comments without merchandising too lots and development up a have confidence and then start up merchandising. Any social internet artwork internet site is sweet for merchandising alongside with face e book, quiddo, digg, delicious and so on That take distinctive artwork however the forged nes is that is all loose. I even have completed this and it took me approximately 3 months to construct each and every thing and get it up and working. My each and daily site visitors is now approximately 250+ an afternoon and that i've got not paid something so it does artwork although if it does take distinctive a while and attempt. good success Now enable's flow

There’s nothing you can do to remove the link from their page to yours. The only thing you can do is to rename your page (For example index.html to main.html) but, is that bad to have your link there? Maybe this is your chance to offer an alternate point of view…

You could Grinn and Bare it. Or you could get someone to write code to help you trap any hits from that page and divert them to a special page or to another web site.
