That is wild. I immediately thought of the same moment in Crash when I read the first line of your question. I literally cried out loud when he fired the gun. When I realized the bullets were blanks I collapsed in my seat crying. That movie is amazing but that scene blows my mind.

Definitely the movie Sybil with Sally Fields in it. Wow, did I ever cry in that movie!
Also, Dancer in the Dark (dir. Lars Von Trier). That one is also a killer.
Life is Beautiful gets me every time.

Oh my gosh!!! I know its old but, the movie Ghost, when Patrick Swayze as a ghost, came to his g/f, and they danced and felt the presence of one another. I know she could feel him and, she was so touched, and moved by it. I was crying my eyes out. Isnt it amazing how "true" love can find its way back to us through a movie?

YES....that movie did it for me too!!!
Another one that got me was in the old Alfred Hitchcock movie, "Rebecca". They had just found the sunken sailboat with Rebecca's body in it and the second Mrs. DeWinter is trying to comfort Maxim, telling him she knows he'll be upset since he loved Rebecca so much. And Maxim turns to her and says in the most disdainful, mean voice possible, "Loved Rebecca? I HATED her".

In "Roots" when "Toby" was being beaten for not using the
slave name, he was beaten unmmercifully, The 'Master' whipped
him until he'd admit his new name. When the master paused
whipping to check whether Toby would acknowledge his name,
I held my breath. I wasn't sure what Toby would say. He finally
accepted his master's name.

That scene in As Good as it Gets when Jack Nicholson tells Helen Hunt that she makes him want to be a better man. I'd love for a guy to tell me that..... sigh....

My heart stopped for Armageddon when Bruce Willis' character talks to his daughter and she realizes he's not coming back...Liv Tyler's line, 'Daddy, no', just clinched it for me, because I love my dad very much and I could feel that situation. Love that movie, one of my favorites :)
