Sorry to tell you all but the world never came to an end in either of the War Of The World films. Those aliens just could`nt cope with our germs in both films.

War of the Worlds was originally a radio broadcast that was mistaken for an actual news broadcast and caused panic. It was later made into a film, twice, but the ending is positive, with the aliens dying. I thought that they were defeated in Mars Attacks too but may be confused with another film.

The original idea of the News broadcast basis, was "The War of the Worlds"
When this was broadcast in the USA in the thirties or forties, there was panic in the streets because people didn't realise that it was a radio play.

It was called "War Of the Worlds" Back in the late 30s Orson Wells broadcasted it on the radio just as a show and everyone took it serious and panicked.
Hope this helped! :-)

It was War of the Worlds. It was originally a radio broadcast that made it seem real. It actually happened in New Jersey... the broadcast that is.

Yea, Mars Attacks or maybe even an old version of War of the Worlds, which was originally a radio thing that came off as a news report.

Orson Wells did a radio play version of HG Well's The War of the Worlds what was set up as a news report one Halloween Night and even though they kept repeating it was just a play a LOT of people freaked out and there was pandemonium everywhere..but that was radio not a movie.

It sounds like War of the Worlds. When this film first came out and was advertised on the radio people thought it was true and started to panic.
