i just bought an external hard drive (200GB) and i want everything from my "My Music" folder on my computer to automatically update onto my external hard drive. Any suggestions?

right click on my music
then choose option send to
now find your hard drive sign on this it could =be f,g,h
now choose that
thats it ur computer will send my music folder to external hard drive

If you want the stuff to be on both your internal and your external drive, the only way to do it is to regularly drag the My Music from the internal drive to the external and drop it to back it up. (Or run a backup file to do that. Or run a batch file to do that) There is no automatic process within Windows for doing that. You would have to drag, click or run something to make the computer do it each time. Drag and drop is about the easiest.

I just bought USB hard drive and am doing what you want to. Just get a synchronizing program, there are free ones on the web but you wll have to search for one.
Then you just synchronize your music to it. I am not sure though if any sync program does it automatically. You have to tell it do it.
If you have a western digital drive, they have a really great free synchronization software on their site.

Windows Media Player has a synchronization method built right into ti.
