Adopt an elephant and help elephant conservation

Born Free's elephant adoption program - the perfect gift for just £24.00

Help elephant conservation when you adopt Emily Kate who lives in Kenya. She's one of the smallest members of the EB elephant family, and was born on August 3rd 2000, weighing about 100kg! She is cherished by the entire family, especially big sisters Eliot and Ebony who keep a special elephant eye on her.

When you adopt you will receive:

A personalised elephant adoption certificate

A full-colour framed photo of elephant Emily Kate

Elephant adoption papers detailing Emily Kate's background with elephant fun facts

Regular elephant updates on how Emily Kate is coming along

A Born Free window sticker

An elephant adopter's Welcome Pack in a fantastic folder

Contact the Born Free Foundation (www.bornfree.org.uk) or if you are in the US try the Elephant Sanctuary in Nashville Tennessee. (www.elephants.com) The lady that runs it is called Carole Buckley and I am sure she would appreciate your help. You can "adopt" an elephant or you can make donations as gifts for someone, sometimes specifically targeted towards e.g. feeding the elephant for a day or helping to pay for her medication. They do tend to be girl elephants as adult boy elephants are not considered fit for polite society by the ladies!

Please though: avoid zoos. They are sad places, and no way suitable for an elephant to be kept.

Amusing- what makes you think an elephant will let you adopt it? Go to the antique store and buy a carved one.
