My '92 Honda Prelude's rear brake lights will not work when the brake pedal is engaged. In addition, the instrument panel brake light warning indicator remains in the "on-position" while the car is running. However, I have replaced brake lights, fuses, and checked all visible wire connections leading to the rear brake light cluster module. All other rear lights work including turn signal, parking, reverse and emergency indicators.

That has a fuse of it's own, but you should be looking at the brake switch that is about half way up the brake peddle arm. Unplug that thing and jumper between the wires with a paper clip and if the brake lights work replace that switch.. Check the wires going into the steering column if you don't have separate turn signal lights and brake lights because if they use the same bulb then the turn signal may be bad. If I remember correctly that particular car doesn't work this way, but I include it just in case.

BRAKE LIGHTS--Probable brake light switch. God indication, does the Collision Avoidance light (in the rear window) work? if not, check the switch.
As for the dash light, check the brake fluid level. It may be low. If it is , this is an indication you MAY be due for front brake pads.
