before you put the base in roll up a big towel and put it under it towards the back of the seat. then tightly install the base. when you look at the base from the side it should be flat on the seat horizontal (parallel) to the ground. when you snap the carseat into the base the back should be reclined at a 45 degree angle or your baby could be too slumped and develop breathing problems. if this doesn't work install the seat without the base, being sure that it is at a 45 degree angle. good luck and congrats on your new little one!

You do not have to use those bases that comes with it.. I did a search to look at the seat you have , but I was not sure of the make... (I'm assuming the link below it is) You can try not using the base, see if that helps.. I know some carseats have those lil viewable things on the side that sayd wether it is even or not... I don't know that yours has one.. why don't you try emailing the company about it ...

Maybe the carseat that you have is the problem. Is the back of it really straight and upright? If it is, that would explain why she slumps forward. Look around for a car seat that's leaned back a little bit. Just as we all recline our seats a little bit so we're not sitting straight up...maybe your baby's seat needs to be reclined a little bit also.

I've had the same problem..my son is 2 months old and we still have that problem..the seat is most likely installed correctly, it's just there is a tilt that's hard to get rid of...do you have the little insert that cushions their head all the way arround?..that helps a little....honestly This is my second child and I have yet to figure out a way to fix this problem. Next to putting a folded blanket under the base to get rid of the tilt...which is probably compromising safety...i don't know how else to fix it...

The seat has to be perfectly level. Sometimes a rolled up towel where the car seat base meets the back of the actual car seat. There should be somewhere locally that you can go to have it checked. Ask your Dr

When I left the hospital with my son, one of the nurses put in our car seat. She had one of the foam snake things that they use to play in the swimming pool. you can cut it and double it up, or make it however thick it needs to be. You just put it under the end of the car seat that needs to be raised. When you put the base in, it is best to try to put all of your weight that you can on it and then pull the lap belt tight. A thick blanket would also work. This is perfectly legal.

Go to a fire station and have them check how your seat is installed and how you are putting her in the seat.

your car seat is not sitting back enough. Her head should be supported fully, and if not, damage can be caused!
