Mystery Shopper do get paid to go to stores and rate the store on things. People who rate stuff people send them are different. The mystery shopper is more going for custer service and such, the other person is seeing how they like a particualr product and rating it.

Yes, mystery shopping companies pay you to rate the stores. I know someone who did that job full time and he made over $1000 a week sometimes as much as $1500 but it's not easy work, you get paid per store and there's a LONG list of things you have to look for and report back on, including meat temperature at restaurants, additionally, they tell you where to shop so you can drive/travel a ridiculous amount of miles a day. You have to be willing to sit in traffic and paying attention to detail is a must, so is having a good memory.
