Keep it dust-free. Keep it cool. Defragment your hard drive periodically. Use a surge protector. Keep your anti-virus software up-to-date. Use a firewall. In Windows power settings, set the monitor and hard drive to turn off after a certain amount of time in order to save wear and tear on them

Removing dust off of the vents and fans in the pc by wiping the case and fans or using comprissed air.
