How do you deal with the little "angel" and the little "devil" in your head? Doing what you "want" to do can sometimes be disastrous but doing what you "should" most of the times is boring. Do you find the balance in this choise? And how?

Hah....

You should have asked this yesterday.

Because right now, i have no idea.

I am so lost.

There's such a big difference between what i do for me and what i do for others.

And i'm finding that i always listen to others.
I want to be free-spirited. Dance in the rain.... howl like a wolf when there's a full moon....sprint around the house naked.... sing with rapture....smile all the time....jump off cliffs in my spare time...

But in the end, i'm not even close to that.

At least not right now.

I don't have the slightest idea of what i want to do.
Therefore, i always do what i "should" most of the time.

The voices in my head aren't voices of reason.. i don't listen to either enough. I wish i did. Maybe i'd be happier. Maybe i'd feel a little more lighthearted. Maybe i'd be more in tune with myself.

But as it turns out, i'm pathetic.
I'm not only boring but disastrous as well.

I am the perfect example of someone who craves the taste of freedom but can't manage to gather up enough money.

I'm not balanced.

With complete truth, i'm screwed up.

I am not proud of who i am, what i've done, what i think, what i say, ect...

I know who i want to be.

And i'm so far from that. It almost seems like an illusion. A fairy tale.

Actually I do what I should do most of the time and you know what
it does get really boring. Sometimes I think I should do what I want to do but then I feel guilty and do what I should do instead. I really envy people who can do what they want to do and not feel guilty about it. I feel that I am wasting my life away by doing the right thing all the time. Sometimes I feel I should just take timeout for myself. If you are one of the people who don't have a guilty conscious rather do what you want to do provided it is legal & don't get you in too much trouble.

I'm one of those people that has lived doing what I "wanted to do" for the first portion of my life. That landed me in jail several times amongst many other hardships... Anymore, I do what I should do. It allows me the freedom to do what it is I actually want to do in life. Plus things change when you have people relying on you, your own personal wants and desires can be put aside. Boring? Only during the work week, I'm still an adrenaline junkie and doing what I should do has allowed me all the toys to get that rush.

mostly i do what i have to do because its the responsible thing to do. if i did what i want to do the consiquences wouldnt be worth the doing. for instance if you have x amount of money and you want to go to the movies but you have this bill to pay. i would pay the bill and skip the movies instead of waiting for my next check to pay it. you never know what can happen between checks.

I always do whatever I want to do.
Even when it's something I "should" do, I only do it my way. So
it resembles my thing.

Hello dear! (XAIPE)
My life has showed that we mostly do:
1. What we can
2. What we want
3. what we should
