The real question is whether or not such a world war has already begun. Are the current conflicts a prelude to a larger war between the Muslim world and the West? It could be so. The invasion of Iraq, conflict over the Iranian nuclear program, the never-ending hostilities in and around Israel, unrest among Muslim poulations in Western countries (and the hostility they face in return), continuing Islamist terrorism, even the ongoing India-Pakistan business (where the West might presumably support its great trading partner India) may be part of a pattern that could at any moment grow into a larger general war.

The US needs to finish what they started in Iraq and Afgan. If we have to many fires going were bound to get burned. I am Red, White and Blue all the way but we as a country need to stop policing the world and take care of whats wrong in our own back yard. This, of course, is just my opinion, take it for the 2cents its worth. I am a vet of the 1st gulf war and I feel we dropped the ball when we were there the first time, we should have got Saddam when we were there then. As for trying to set Iraq's Government, I say let them decide what they want to do and stop trying to force our morals and values on them...If they want to kill eachother, let them. As long as there no threat to us (as they are not now) I say we pull out and end it all.

Not very likely there will be a full scale war, and since Iran has no nuclear capability yet, and no other major powers are involved, it will not be a World War.

If you mean a nuclear exchange, possibly.
If we confront them at all, it will be bloody.
If we don't confront them soon, it might be more bloody later.
No good choices.
