That would depend on what state of mental and spiritual state you are. I am giving description of the nature of gods below but traditionally Hindus follow "Handed Down" religion method where the progeny follows the same religion and believes that their parents do with very few exceptions.
Bramha:
if you are young and creative at mind with high energy, mercurial with passion on creating new things you may side with Bramha. Though Bramha also created weapons that could destroy the world but again the focus here is on creation only as he never used them himself.
Vishnu:
If you like managing things and keep the wheels of life going smoothly and do not hesitate to take controversial steps to keep the order and everyone in control you may side with Vishnu.
Shiva:
It is said that Shiva created both Bramha and Vishnu and assigned them the functions that they have viz: Creation and Maintenance and kept the role of destroyer to himself. Having said that Shiva can both create and destroy because creation is triggered after destruction. Thereby by virtue of being the creator of Bramha and Vishnu and also that Shiva by virtue was the first Aryan to be granted the supernatural powers by "Shakti" (The Supreme white power") is mightiest of all devatas.
Though I personally like Ganesha, Son of Shiva. The elephant Deva.
In regards to having have crores of devi's and devata's that would be true but, there is a hierarchy just like in an organization where each one is responsible for a specific fuction. Thus, making it easier for you to concentrate on one when you need help in a specifc area. Again I would like to emphasize that GOD is not the exact translation for Devi's and Devata's. They are mere representaions or incarnations who work for GOD that is the supreme being called "Shakti".
Hope this helps

Hey,
They belive in one god. I asked a similar question to a scholar and he replied they believe in one god. The Shiva, Vishnu or Brahma are their trinity and not the supreme God. They are creator (Brahma) Punisher (Shiva) and Saviour (Vishnu). All of these will abide the alimighty god's wish only. All except the alimighty god (Parashakti in their version) are Devtas and Devis and there is no correct word to translate such words in english and other language and people use god and godess in place of Devi or devtas. I got this from their satsang in London.

Vishnu, specifically, the Avatar Krishna, most DEFINATELY.
Look him up, he's a ladies man. He had all of the women in his villiage in love with him at a young age, and was just awesome.
Plus he's BLUE. How the hell can you NOT love a blue God? :D
