To gain the trust BACK into a relationship is almost harder than giving it in the beginning. Once the trust is gone repair can only come with 2 willing people. I myself am dealing with this issue but I don't know for sure if cheating occured. An affair or thoughts of an affair can drive someone mad!! Both people need to have an understanding of the situation. Especially the cheater. They must realise that if you want to talk about, you have every right to. No matter how long its been since the affair. Of course don't use it as ammo in an arguement, but do take the time to work through your feelings behind it. If the other party is willing to work with you and not against you then it will take a while, but it can be done.

Very hard, and it will take a while. Sometimes you have to look at the situation and see if anything about it has changed. I had a gf cheat on me, but we were constantly fighting at the time, so it was kind of understandable, as I was being a total jerk. When things got better, I trusted her not to do it again, but it was still in the back of my mind... Now, I know she wouldn't do it again without breaking up with me first, but it took a while to regain that level of trust.

I would think that the trust has flown out the window. I personally would never trust anyone again if they did that to me. I would always be thinking are they having another affair someone else. This is too emotional and everyone has there own opinions.

This is almost impossible as TRUST has been lost. Can it be done? - YES with a lot of work and soul searching to find out why plus a physical to ensure that the STD problem is not present.

It is definitely hard but can be done if both people want the relationship to work and willing to get some help.

If the cheater really works hard at it it's very possible. But the person who was cheated on will never forget. It gets easier to forgive but it'll always be in your mind.
