Review the listing contract, as it will provide the effective listing date as well as the expiry date of the contract.

As the other realtor pointed out, if you are not happy with the service you are receiving, one of the ways to resolve issues is to contact the managing broker of the company your listing is with.

As many people do not seem to realize, your listing is with the company your agent works with, and the "agency" the company, is therefore able to address your concerns, with the Realtor on the paperwork and possibly correct any issue or for example re-assign the listing to a more suitable agent within the company. In extreme cases the managing broker ,may even provide a conditional or unconditional relase of the listing contract. This will depend on local rules and policies at the real estate company and area real estate boards.

In my state, it is legally required to be on the listing agreement. If the agent is not performing well, speak to the broker and let them know. You may get some help there.

You can go to your listing agreement and verify this, also you can ask to speak to your realtor's broker and explain how you feel and ask to withdraw the listing from the realtor.
