It's a phishing spam. Delete it.

Do not reply to the e-mail.

Try to log into your account using the old password. If you can not, take the "forgot password" option. It should be mailed to the e-mail address you specified when opening your yahoo account. If this does not work, contact yahoo support and tell them what is going on.

More then likely it is spam, someone trying to get you to tell them your password. If the worst has come to pass and your password HAS been changed, yahoo support needs to know immediately so that your account is not abused.

Either way, once you are in, you might want to change your password. Oh, and NEVER give your password to anyone!

That sounds like a spoof email for a phishing scam. Do NOT click on any links in the email, reply to it, etc. If you already have, you should immediately go to Yahoo (the real one) and change your password. Either way, you should read the Yahoo help files on phishing (the 3 links below), so you'll know how to protect yourself in future.

What you can do to see if it is a valid email is go to http://www.yahoo.com (type this into your browser, don't follow any links to go there), then login with your old username and password. If it works, then it is a phishing email. If it does not, then somebody changed your password - contact Yahoo! support immediately (if you cannot login with your old username and password, after making sure that there are no typos).

Your account has been hijacked. the advice you've gotten so far is good, but it didn't go far enough. You need to get the spyware off of your computer, think about if you've told anyone your PW, and what sleazy, unreliable web sites you've been to lately. (That includes, all the filesharing software you use - bit torrent, whatever, the program itself is OK, its the stuff you download, you don't know what kind of security the PC it came from had or if the sender has good intentions it's like having sex without a condom).

Do you have any anti-spyware software? A firewall? Anti-spam software? anti-virus software? If you do, you need to get rid of them, they aren't good enough. And stop going to porn sites they are a breeding ground for all sorts of computer problems.
