If the only reason to sell a team was because they are having a bad season or as you put it "They Suck" then you should also sell:
Baltimore
Tampa Bay
Cleveland
Kansas City
Atlanta
Washington
Da Cubs
Pittsburgh
Colorado.
Its really not too far removed from the Mariners good years. The nucleus is there they just need some pitching. Pitching Wins World Series.

NOO the seattle area needs a baseball team and i dont care if the m's suck the fans here are some of the craziest (trust me ive been to a million mariners games) and we dont care if they suck we have some best power hitters in the american leauge (Ritchie Sexson, Ben Broussard, maybe Adrian Beltre a little and Jose Lopez is pretty good) but we need the baseball i mean thats what seattle fans live on....besides the seahawks

No the should not be sold, Consider the following on how they could improve their standings though....(also attendance is down from 44,000 in 2001/2002 seasons to 30,000 in 2006. That's a loss of 2800 people a year in the last five years.)
1) Fire Mike Hargrove. Hargrove had been the worst manager in baseball this year. Seriously, the team would have been better off with a baseball-jersied orangutang at the helm this year. Grover's incessant use of aggressive baserunning, steals, and bunts (especially with his top hitters) cost the M's between four and five games alone this year. He is a slave to convention, with no concept of modern-day statistical analysis. Enough.
2) Sign Jason Schmidt to a 4 year/$48 million contract. This is a lot of money and a lot of years for a 33-year-old, but Schmidt is the gem of the free-agent pitching crop and makes his home in Washington state. The M's desperately need an ace at the top of their rotation to allow the pressure to ease off King Felix, and Schmidt can eat a lot of innings and put up incredible numbers at the Safe.
3) Move Ichiro to CF on a permanent basis. Doing this allows the M's to rotate their talent in right field as opposed to center, where range is a major factor. Chris Snelling should be at the forefront of this list, and a possible platoon-mate could couple with him to give the M's better than league-average production from right field.
4) Find a serviceable innings-eater for your #5 rotation slot. With Pineiro and Meche off the books, the M's can look either to a cheap free agent or from within to fill this need.
5) Decide whether or not to move forward with Bill Bavasi as GM. My instinct tells me that the conservative M's executive regime will give Bavasi another year, as improvements have been made on his watch. His successes, however, have been coupled with some tremendous failures, so as a whole I rate his job performance so far as a C-.
6) Do whatever you can to find a taker for Washburn and his enormous salary. This is almost certainly impossible, but Bavasi, or whoever the M's GM is, should rack up cell phone fees to other GM's trying to move this huge albatross.
That's it. Unlike a couple of years ago, the M's find themselves with the majority of their holes filled for the foreseeable future. Lopez and Betancourt have emerged as a middle-infield duo that will grow with the team for a number of years. Beltre will never be the player he was in his MVP year, but if the team can get .275/20/80 production and gold-glove caliber defense from him, they have a player that can be a key contributor on a contending team. Sexson worries me, but we're stuck with him and his .230/30/90 bat. Our DH tandem of Broussard and Perez will again combine to produce as a top-ten DH. The bullpen is extremely solid, especially with the emergence of Putz and Lowe, and the anticipated continued health of Soriano.
If the M's implement these changes, the other teams in the A.L. west will be looking up at them in the standings at the end of next season
