The very best articles on how to write a novel are "A novel in a Year" serialised (currently) in the Saturday Telegraph Books section for the last two months or so. I believe they have a site where you can access all the articles, guiding you very logically and inspiringly through how to write your novel. Trust me, it is the best!
It may have a separate site called "Anovelinayear"
Good luck!

Buy some books by Julia Cameron. Actually I think she has a website. Please, don't ask for criticism just yet. The smallest thing a person can say in the early stages can destroy a writer. Just write for now.
