The word N$gger, who can use it and who cant?!?

I dont get it? why can a black person call another black person or the same ethic group n$gger but a white person or mexican person cant call a black person n$gger. I belive even if you are black y would you use that term that the white man made up for black people anyways. Black people are using the white person's term. That's stupid i dont get people these days!

Freedom exist in America. Anyone can say the word and of course, there are consequences.

I'm of African decent. I don't go around calling other blacks *****r. I would be upset if another black called me a *****r. I don't think that blacks should go throwing that word around like it means something positive because it still is a negative word.

Think of it like this: many black rappers use b*tches and hoes in their music. I would be offended if someone came up to me on the street and said, "Hey b*tch, what's up?"

My point is that just because some ignorant people use a word freely does not take the negativity away from the word. That is why a black will get angry when a white says it; it still has a negative meaning. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that it is a term of endearment or some crap like that; that is baloney.

There is a difference when black people call other black people that they are not using er but instead a.. at the end of the word...like as follows: not "hey n*gger" but rather "what up ****a". Regardless it's stupid and ignorant and yeah I live in NYC and there is definitely a double standard and I have been a victim of reverse racism and I am Latina!! Go figure, I think that people are just morons now a days LOL

That is a GREAT QUESTION and one dear to my heart. My first response is an emotion based answer. Tied directly to the meaning of a freedom of speech. ANYBODY and everyone should use the word as long as it is not used as a pejorative towards another human. One definition of '****er' is "...any socially disadvantaged group of people". That would be me. I am ****ER of the world. I am a transexual and a member of the most socially disadvantaged group of people in the country. We are murdered daily for who we are. I challenge any person or otherwise to dispute my legitimate claim to that description and label. Words CANNOT become politically incorrect without endangering freedom of thought.
