It's nice there in the winter. They have a HUGE Christmas tree and they do a candlelight concert close to Christmas time. The weather is nice and it' s not as busy as the summertime.

This is my favorite time of year to attend. Since you've been in the summer, here are a few differences:
Park Hours tend to open later and/or close earlier.
Lines are significantly shorter - about 1/2 of what you'd expect during the summer months.
You may want to avoid water rides like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids. Being wet and cold is no fun.
The Magic Kingdom closes early on some nights for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's a separate admission requirement. You'll want to work your schedule around this.
MGM has a spectacular Christmas light display. Plan on visiting it one evening. If you are planning on watching Fantasmic, sit near the back of the theater to avoid getting wet.
Epcot has the Candlelight Processional each evening. Christmas songs performed by a full orchestra along with celebrity narrarators reading the Christmas story. It's included with park admission, but come early so you'll get a seat.
Evenings get cold. Even if you don't feel like you need one, bring a sweatshirt with you. After the sun sets, you'll be glad you did.
It's a great time of year to visit. Have fun and take lots of pictures!

The weather really cools down... it can even be considered down right cold. So pack shorts and a jeans, just to be on the safe side and definitely pack a sweater or jacket. Visiting in early December should keep you out of the large crowds that typically begin to pick up around December 15th for the Holiday season, so you should be good to go there as well.

You will love it! NO crowds, mild weather, and the decorations-WOW!!! We are going back in November (nice too), but I would rather go in December (just toooooo muuuucccch to do at home for the holiday). Enjoy it! Give Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party a try and the World Showcase area of Epcot should be awesome. Stay away between 12/24 & 1/2/07 - waaaay tooo crowded.

PERFECT!!!!!!!! You're going when it will be all decorated for Christmas and the holidays, but won't be mobbed yet!!! :-)Seriously, that's like the best time to go there. The parks will be practically empty, because kids will still be in school. Get tickets for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party, and make sure you also do Epcot's Holidays around the World. You will have fun, and come home ready to celebrate the holidays Disney style!!

I'm not sure about Disney World, but a couple years ago my family took a trip to Disney Land in the week around Christmas, and it was packed! We thought it would be kind of slow considering the time of year, but boy were we wrong! Have fun!

its great. I go to WDW at least 2 times a year. I would recommend bringing jeans and sweat shirts. Its like 70 during the day and lower 60 even mid 50's at night. They have wonderful holiday themes and music. Its a nice time to go. IF your going with kids and they "need" to swim go in the dead smack of the afternoon that's when it is the warmest. I think they heat the water too so it wont be too chilly.

The best of all possible vacation times at disney is the period od time from Dec. 8 through about the 19th............the period after thanksgiving and before the insane christmas rush is great.....it is one of the slowest times at the park, yet all the holiday stuff is mostly in place.....rates at outside hotels can be bargained hard.......weather is about the same the whole month....avoid the crowds come early to mid dec.

They go all out for Christmas. The trees are absolutely beautiful. Just walking into the Magic Kingdom will take your breath away. You can also purchase an after hours ticket for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas. It is going to be cool, especially at night.

We went for Christmas last year. The decorations are over the top. At MGM they did lights with real snow falling. We saw the candlelight processional. Everything was beautiful. Have a great time!
