All these stupid rap stars do is personify the moral and cultural decay of an African American populous totally void of direction and motivation. If someone wants to embrace a bunch of bitches, hos and ingrates then maybe there is a home on MTV for them as well. P.S. Screw Michael Jordan. He never gave anything back to his people or society. Let the ghetto poets stay in the ghetto and stop confusing the children.

You are certainly generalizing. I'm Native American, and white, and believe me I'm proud of the fact that I'm half Native American, and have no desire to act black, and non of the Native Americans I know want to either. We've worked too hard to retain our culture, which whites have been trying to take away from us for centuries. They've only recently allowed us be what we really are, and not their version of what they think we should should be.
Back in the 60's' When my biological Native American father was stationed in Germany, the Germans had a real thing for Native Americans, and many black were telling the German girls that they were Native Americans, so there were a lot of German, and Black children born. The German girl got wise to what was going on, and found out what to look for, and that soon stopped.'
If half Black children were born later, it was because the German girls chose to go out with them, and not because they were duped.
I'm in no way being bigoted here, but facts were facts. I had offers to marry German men , when my father showed them a picture of me. He told me about the marriage proposals I received both in his letters, and when he came back to American on leave.
So we all aren't trying to act Black, believe me.

I believe as a white who grew up in the inner city that the times have change that the White populace has given up on their own Identity and allowed themselves to follow others. Which I found not to be required in the 70's and 80's (My Era). Rome Fell in my view because Only Romans were in charge all cultures must have a voice for America's true strength to be realized-My opinion only-Thanks

Baby, all I can say is "Too black, too strong..."
Black culture dominates and is just the 'coolest'. We see that from the beginnings of Jazz in the late 19th century into the early 20th century. Everyone loved it and it came to dominate the muscial tastes the world (modern) over. Hip-hop/rap culture is the new 'jazz'...What can I say! Despite some the negativity associated with black people/culture, it is indeed INFECTIOUS!!

What is Black?.....are you referring to the so called "Black Experience"....that has enriched so much of the world...jazz, the blues, even rock & roll , reggae ,and Hip Hip emerged from this culture....some of the greatest actors, comedians, musicians, and athletes ever known.....I think that imitation is the simpliest form of flattery...African Americans even in our poverty stricken and most oppressed state of mind have changed the world...look at Micheal Jordan, a little brownskinned boy from North Carolina who had a dream about basketball and ended up a five time NBA champion as well as Oylimpic gold medalist...a multi millionaire businessman who is partnered with Nike in a billion dollar sneaker enterprize in which he has the final say so ....look at Oprah Winfrey, she grew up dirt poor in Mississippi....went from being a newscaster in Chicago to a Billionaire talk show hostess who owns her own production company, publishes her own magazine, and sponsors her own village in Africa...even built a school there for the kids with a computer lab and what not....I think that Ray Charles is most powerful story of all...a blind boy from rural segregated Georgia grows up to be a musical tour de force who travels the world and refuses to play to a all white audience in his own state because his recording contract is better than Frank Sinatra and you own your masters......we as African Americans have something in us..be it creativity or flavor that just makes us stand out...this Hip Hop generation proved that we can come from the dirtiest most crime ridden neighborhoods and put poetry to music....give birth to a billion dollar industry within 20 years....dudes like 50 Cent went from roaches and rats to Benz's, ice, and Cristal...we made a oversized white t shirt, jeans, sneakers, and baseball caps a fashion statement....we set trends and create fads...Hollywood as well as the runways of Milan and Paris...follow us...I think it is empowering to see people like Diddy, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Pharrell on top of the world....it makes me believe that I can do it, too.

your question is convoluted! I think i know what you are asking. Sometimes people are insecure about themselves and try to be something they are not and try and be the "image" they feel are more acceptable, hip, cool, etc. All i can say is, An original is always better than an imitation.
