...that you want him or her, when you really don't and not even thinking about the nutcase, and, after you ignore the person, they get all weird on you, like nutcase weird (yelling insults). I mean, how conceited and self-absorbed is that? Why do straight people think that every lesbian or gay person wants them when that is truly not the case? Help me out here.

...I hear about that kind of thing all the time. Gay people just SITTING next to straight people and the straight people get freaked out. "Oh god, they're gunna wanna touch me. HELP!!!"

Oh, right, like you're such a gay sex machine, ya big stud... *eyeroll*. Gay persons aren't orgasm-crazy nookie-monsters incapable of keeping themselves away from your "sweet ***".

You belittle gay people and make yourself out to be a megalomaniac when you think that way.

I have a number of male friends who are all for gay rights, but feel rather uncomfortable around gay men because of that nagging fear that they may be approached in a sexual manner. I keep telling them they have some unresolved issues. If you can think about someone else having feelings for you in that way you are on a road you should not be. I mean not every straight male or female approaches them in a sexual way.....

Yes it has happened to me and it gets on my nerves! Not everybody does it, but in the past-and present, too!-there have been people who have found out I was gay and all of sudden they start acting weird around me, or they all of a sudden think I want them because their female. And I'm just like "Honey, don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't touch that with a 20 foot pole if somebody else was pushing." It gets on my nerves! If I didn't want you before you knew I was gay, what changes anything now?

I don't know. Its just like if you meet a bi person of your gender, and they know you're gay, so they think automatically that the two of you are going to hook up.

Duh? If you're straight, does EVERY member of the opposite sex want to do it with you? Obviously not. So why assume that as a gay man, I want every man I see. It doesn't matter if he's gay, straight or bi, you have to be more than simply available to knock on my door!

On occasion when I've had to inform a woman of my sexuality, I'll be met with the response, "just don't hit on me," or some such, and it always amuses me because the women who respond with that are categorically my LEAST likely targets of an advance. I have very discriminating taste, thank you. I don't hit on everything wearing a skirt.

I generally reply by telling them they don't meet my standards. Shuts most of them right up.

In the same vein, I hate it when I'm trying to meet people and they think that all lesbians or bis are obsessed with sex. I love sex, but only with with people I have a relationship with. I hate lesbian sites, because I'm simply trying to meet people, or find friends, but everyone there seems to think that I'm after cyber.

Are there any lesbians out there who are more interested with what's in my heart, not my pants?

I havent a clue, but i "outed" myself at my job a couple years ago, then every straight female from then on, became very weird with me. The ones who would come into my office, sit on my desk, chit chat with me, etc. walked around the office to avoid my office, emailed me questions. I'm thinking to myself. "r u fu*#&@ kidding me".... Im not sure what it is. But it really sucks!

Some people like to think of gays and lesbians as sexually liberated and highly sexed so therefore why wouldn't someone like us want someone like them (they think of themselves as highly sexual too, just not as liberated as we are). They would be insulted if we didn't want them. A no win situation.

yeah...it's really weird! they really must think a lot of themselves if they think everyone wants them anyway. big egos! I mean, not all straight people are interested in EVERYONE of the opposite sex, why do they think we're automatically wanting everyone of the same sex? no way!

I'm not gay, and I've never acted this way either, maybe you should not be so narrow minded to think all straight people do this!
