T.H. White: The destiny of Man is to unite, not to divide. If you keep on dividing you end up as a collection of monkeys throwing nuts at each other out of separate trees.
Interesting, no? Made me wonder: why don't we unite because of the bond of humanity that we all share? We all bleed and love and hope and have beliefs. The blood and love and hopes and beliefs may be different--but they are still the same in that they are the struggle of humankind.
Why are we so defensive and ready to leap at the throats of people who are different? (The same goes to those who are ever ready to leap at our throats because we are different.) Why is the initial reaction to fight for an ultimate and universal right way for all humans to live or to prove that one group is better (morally, genetically, mentally, etc.) than another?
