Can you call audibles in Madden 2007 (PS2) using the USB headset?

I'm wondering because when you hit the audible button on offense or defense, the on-screen instructions AND an orange tab appears at the bottom of the screen which has a picture of the headset. It stays there for a few seconds then goes away.
