My friend and her BF dated in high school and broke up after like 3 years or something and dated other people. During that time they still thought about each other but just kept dating others.
Then one day they both were single and they hung out as friends. And next thing you know they had a baby and are getting married this Saturday!
I think the break for them was exactly what they needed. They would have never made it if they hadn't took that break and met other people and had other experiences. People change and mature alot after high school.
I say go for it! He could be the one! And you'd regret it if you didn't try and see what happen. Good luck! :-)

Give a shot, 2 years out of high school can make a big difference. He no longer feels the need to show off or brag to other immature high schoolers. Plus he has to have matured to accomplish being a police officer. What can it hurt to try, you're young so if it don't work move on.

You're still both young, relatively speaking. Whether or not you get back together with him, he was your high school sweetheart, and you're always going to have feelings for him.
What you need to do is get a feel for where he's going in his life and decide if that's a direction you want to go, too. You need to decide if you want to be a cop's wife, for instance.
And you need to decide if you like the way he treats you, and if he makes you feel good about yourself.
If all that looks good, then why not. But you wouldn't be here if you had reservations. So you need to look at your reservations, even if you've been afraid to voice them, and decide whether they really matter.

Give him a chance. Everyone is immature in high school. You are both in different places in life than you were back then. And the fact that you still have feelings for eachother is a blessing. I would give him a chance. And keep in mind that love can hurt, but never having had it hurts even more.

i think maybe you should go out on a date and see if you two really do still have feelings for each other because a lot can change in 2 years. js take things slow and see where things lead, but it would be really cute if u two end up together. good luck with everything =)

What are you worried about? I would try it since it seems that you both want to be together and see how it works. I know that it is hard to put your heart out there but you never know, he may be the one for you, and if you don't try it, you may regret it later. Good luck!!

Why are you worried?
Either you don't really want him back or you're just remembering the way it once was. Thats history and maybe history repeats its self and maybe it doesn't, that is a chance you have to take

It's your call but if you couldn't work it out the first time then it probably wasn't a good idea in the first place.
