aluminum outdoor spotlights have corroded and I can't get them apart to replace the bulbs. suggestions?

Heat with a paint stripper gun or propane torch . Let cool then twisat open. Try several cycles of this. The metals expand at different rates when heated and cooled, breaking their bond. Use W.D. 40 or other low viscosity oill between heats if the parts are seriously stuck. If all else fails use a lager screw driver or sledge hammer for seriously serious cases.

You have 2 options... First is to replace the entire fixture. Second, would be to shut the power of by the breaker to the lights. Then take a adjustable pipe (channel locks) wrench (wear safety glasses and gloves) and attempt to seperate the bulb from the housing. If it breaks (which it probably will), then stick the pipe wrench inside the bulb housing and apply outward pressure and begin to turn. This usually gets it. I have had to use this method for lights which have already broken to remove them.

they sound pretty old, maybe replacing them would be best as fixture prices have dropped because of popularity, otherwise drill out the old screws

go to hardware store and get something to break up the corrosion or buy new fixtures.
