If you get rejected by someone who is plain or just kind of normal, you can just say, "no big deal" and move on with life. If you get rejected by someone you think is very attractive and desirable, it is devastating. Every guy wants to think that the beautiful, independant woman would like him, and that she would find him as desirable to her as she is to him. But the fear that she might not makes her very intimidating.

I think you may be confusing intimidation for fascination with some of these men, at least you would with me. A independent and beautiful woman, what more could a man want?

I believe the bottom line to everyone's problems is fear. I would say that a beautiful, independant woman reflects what some men are not. Most people do not like rejection, or can't handle it. Someone once told me I was out of their league. This of course was his own opinion, but he was right. There is someone for everyone, so hang in there.

Because they are used to the woman (girls) following up behind them for every little thing. They want to be "the man".

Another reason is that the "scrubs" (girls) make them feel superior, and when they cross paths with a real woman, they don't know how to act. Hence, they are intimidated because they fear that the woman is high maintenance and that they are losing control in the relationship

Most men have an animal instinct to be the provider and head of house. Your Independence threatens that. I could go long and deep on this subject. I feel your pain I out earn every man I know. It HAS broken up one relationship. But many men are ok as long as we are letting them be manly in other more important ways!!!!!

That is a good question. As a man, I personally feel that those guys are just a little bit too weak to be in a relationship with a person that they would have to treat as an equal. I personally respect a woman who is strong enough to make decisions for herself and can find solutions on her own. That is the way my girlfriend is, and I can not imagine being in a relationship with any other type of girl.

I'm attracted to women like that. They are hard to find and alot of them appear to find men that can't hanlde them

To me a woman you descirbed will not be looking for a divorce after 1 year of marriage. I want a woman with the same mind set that I have. Wich is I have taken care of myself for this long and there isn't anything I can't do. If I meet a woman like that, the world is ours.

Because they'd rather dominate a woman who has lower self esteem and makes them feel extra manly and needed. A man who is not afraid of a woman who is beautiful and well adjusted mentally is a great and rare find.

Because men feel the need to be in control of everything, including women. When that is jeopardized, you have intimidation.

alot of times it is because those are the ones that have rejected or hurt them the most and they do not feel like trying something that will waist time. also a lot are very shallow and would rather find and easy girl for a quick lay rather than a chase.
