Snakes in your case represent fear

white one = fear, obvious fear, guilt conscience
black one = fear, greatest fear, insecurity

You have two fear in your life. Basically, you subconscious mind distinguished them very well. Both fear gave you some message.

The white seems like an obvious fear in your life, you can feel it easily such as cheating, not doing the right things as told, as so on. Being beaten by white snakes could mean that you are aware of it but you didn't do anything about it, that is your guilt conscience.

The black is your inner insecure sense. It lurks into your subconscious mind for long time. You don't feel secure in your daily life in many ways. You may not know it; however, that is what your subconscious mind told you. It could be fear of not able to pass test, fear of family burden, fear of studies, fear of accomplish task and so on. Those tasks are hidden and you have this sense of insecurity and you are waiting for them to go away.

In conclusion, you projected those snakes to tell you that you have fear of two kinds. Not just color, but the action of snake also revealed some meaning of the dream

Were you watching Animal Planet that night?

Seriously, interpreting dream is a tricky business and really has more to do with what is going on in your waking moments. Try evaluating your surroundings and present circumstances. In your dream, there is something stationary and constant, something that sticks out from everything else, that is attracting your attentions. The use of the colors black and white could have several meaning. They are complete opposites. Used in such phrases as "As different as black and white" or meaning something is plain to see and permanent, "written in black and white."

Symbolism of snakes is tough. Snakes are used in the "true symbol of medicine," the staff of Ascelpius. But they are also symbols of deception. Aborigines believed the Rainbow Serpent in their creation stories was a benevolent protector of its people (the groups from the country around) and as a malevolent punisher of law breakers. Maybe the white snakes were trying to keep you away from the black snake. For better or worse, who knows.

Like I said, evaluate your life. Try to find similarities.

Well, if you believe new age stuff, it means hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

If you believe Freud, it means you have a phalic fixation.

You can look up all the symbols and colors on this site. But, in my opinion it sounds like a good dream, not good in feeling but that it symbolises good things, maybe I'm wrong. Best wishes
