what it meant to the past generation, what it means to this generation and if it is still attainable

I'm 67 and my parents generation was the vine covered cottage in the country with a white picket fence, a dog a cat and a brat or 2 running around the property while my non-working mother watched on and daddy was working one job from 8 to 5.
My generation was, a smaller house with no vines and no picket fence. The dog and the cat were still there but the family unit was just 3.5 individuals. My wife worked part-time.
Your generation, is a small trailer or mobile home with fungus growing up the side, the dog ate the cat, the only child is a latch key brat and both parents have to work 2 jobs each just to put food on the table and keep up with all the overdue payments.

The American Dream is everything that George W. Bush stands for, otherwise he wouldn't have been elected as president!
Therefore, it can be conluded that the American dream consists of killing off non-white people, keeping women on leashes, and chasing dollars all day long! Oh and shotguns, don't forget the shotguns.

anyway, today's "american dream" is to get a good education, loving family, be successful, have a family, die happy.
back then it was woman do housework until a rich man comes to her and marries her.
