slim, but yes... most pregnancy tests look for HCG which stands for human chorionic gonadotrophin. A hormone thats produced ONLY by a chorion... or fertilized egg.... so.... the only way you could have that hormone... is if you had a fertilized egg in you... however, at times the chorion will not implant or misscarry.... so the pregnancy never develops... or in extremely rare cases, a tumor can produce HCG..... so.... very rarel is the test wrong. Should have used a condom....!!!

I doubt it seriously. Usually the reason why you get a positive result is because you have enough of the HCG Hormone in your urine. But first buy the test that comes with more than one and do the first one in the beginning of the week and the other at the end of the week. If you still are unsure then seek a doctor and have it tested by your blood or a vaginal check.

There is a chance of a false positive on the at home test. Make an appointment with your family doctor or gynecologist and have them test you if you really want to be certain.

Usually you can't get a false positive because it is detecting the pregnany hormone and when you get a positive then usually it is right. The best advise I can give though is go to the doctor and get a test there.

Yes there is, but it's not a high percentage. I would use another home pregnancy test (they usually come in packs of 2 or more) to be sure. The possibility of TWO being false positives is SUPER small.
Good luck!!

Very rarely are there false positives, if you get a positive you are more then likely pregnant. I think my doc told me like 1 in 10,000 is a false positive. It's much more common to get a false negative.

not really, there is something called a molar pregnancy wich can cause a positive , but it is pretty rare and only your Doc. could diagnose it. Make an appointment to see you doc. most likely if you had a positive test you ARE pregnant.

Very unlikely to have a false positive unless you are on fertility meds, more likely to have a false negative
