As a long time Chiefs fan, I'll admit I'm nervous. Not necessarily because of their pre season performances (or lack of) but because they'll need to plug some big holes left with key players who are now gone -Roaf,Richardson etc.- AND My stomach is very uneasy with Herm at the helm. I felt this way the day KC hired him and so far he hasn't convinced me otherwise. I really do hope that my premonition is dead wrong.

Big time Chiefs fan here. I was even a member of the old Wolf Pack as a kid back in the days when Lenny D. was QB and Eddie Podalak was romping through the line for three yard gains!
Prediction: 11-5, make the playoffs. I think Denver falls way off this year. Not for any other reason but wishful thinking!
Big Willie comes out of a retirement for the second half of the season. LJ rushes for over 3,000 yards. And, Derick Johnson goes to the Pro-Bowl.

The Chiefs are one of my sleeper teams for this year. It suprises me that I don't hear much about them, considering that they have arguably the best RB in the league, Larry Johnson. Given a full season last year, he would have easily shattered the single season rushing record. This year I think he's going to gain about 2200-2300 yards, 20 TDs. The Chiefs also have one of the best vets behind center in Trent Green. He produces year in and year out. He threw for over 4,000 yards last year, though his TD numbers were down. They should trade for a clear cut #1 receiver. Their defense struggles but the addition of Ty Law should help tremendously. Overall, I think there offense carries them to a 12-4 record, AFC West Champs, and a trip to the AFC Championship Game. Maybe to face divison foe Denver Broncos.

Not sure. They have a pretty good team, but they are 0-2 so far in the Preseason. I know that doesn't really count, but they might want to try a little harder. They'll probably do better in the regular season once Larry Johnson gets out there.

They will lose more than win. Edwards is not a good NFL Head coach. He is part of the leagues push for more diversity in the head coaching position. We'll have to wait and see what the league does about diversity on the field. Because it should be about who would do the best job, rather than who would be the best non-white person to do the job.

They may make the playoffs but Herm Edwards will not be able to win more than 1 game in the playoffs.

Look for this to be a rebuilding year. Witht the loss of Willie, the line declines, making it much harder for LJ to run, tho he is an awesome rb, and their defense will still struggle. Another thing is bringing in a new coach, a very good one, but it will still be a big change, which takes time to adjust to. I see them losing games early and finding their groove in mid season. I expect them to go 8-8.

I think 9-7, 2nd in the AFC West behind Denver, but no playoffs for KC.
