is ur question complete.... if only the length of the chord is given its not possible to find the diameter of the circle... there must be atleast one more known parameter to find it out..... just mail me the ques again ....

Be more specific: what information do you know? The length of the chord is not sufficient. The problem can be solved if you know

* length of chord & distance chord to center
* length of chord & angle of chord
...
