It is somewhere in my house, or in my car. Any suggestions on where I should be looking? I seemed to have exhausted all possible places that would make sense to me.

hmm I love your question :) I hope asking it helped, since asking someone to help me look - after I have frantically searched in all conceivable places- usually reveals my long-sought object right in front of my eyes. So that's my idea - get someone to help you look.
Or just stop looking and relax, and then hopefully your namebadge will find you...
