What is the best route to Narragansett, RI from New York city?

Once in Mystic, CT, would you recommend taking US 1/SR 27 to Pawcatuck then reconnecting with I 78 south? I'm trying to avoid as much construction as possible.

Yes, that's the fastest way. I just did it 2 weeks ago, but going the other way. Have a happy time in wonderful Narragansett...I grew up in R.I. and go back whenever I can.

95 all the way. If you want to avoid construction, fly. Connecticut is 'The Construction State' after all.
