Performance-wise, the Radeon X1950 XTX appears to be a solid improvement, It consumes more power than the NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX, but did a fine job on the benchmarks in the reviews I looked over—outperforming NVIDIA in some, trailing in others. The X1900 XT, which is positioned against the GeForce 7900 GT, bested the NVIDIA card. This gives ATI a nice edge in the midrange graphics card market

stay faraway from Nvidia. i've got had ATI taking part in cards for years devoid of any issues. My Dad has an Nvidia gadget and he's had a very good form of issues. choose for the X1900XT or much greater helpful wait till september and get a 2900XT that may help directX10 for Crysis, and via then might have new drivers - which potential this is going to be quicker than an 8800. greater value-effective too.

If I had to choose right now I would choose the GeForce 7900 GTX since most games are compatible with NVIDIA.
For more advice go to gamespot.com and click on forums and then go to PC Hardware Discussion.
Get the Intel Conroe chip processor. There's the 6300, 6400, 6700 and all just came out. That should make your games even faster!

A nvidia card is ur best bet right now, supposedly a single ATI card will use more power than two nvidia cards in sli, and sli looks better than crossfire. The nvidia will be the best bet.
