I was walking to work, listening to the radio when I heard a plane hit the world trade center. I imagined it was a prop plane, and someone had gone off course. The radio commentator thought much the same thing. It’s a large building, how do you not see it in front of you, they joked. By the time I got to work, the news was much more serious. I changed away from my entertaining radio station to an all-news station. I tried to pull up information on my computer but nothing would load up. I’d learn later because too many people in the country were trying to do the same thing. The radio announced that a second plane hit. I was the only one on my floor with a radio and people started huddling around my office. I was eventually able to pull CNN or MBNBC up on my computer, and saw a picture of the towers up in smoke. I was in a state of disbelief. I wasn't yet afraid, just shocked. Then a plane hit the pentagon. Now I was afraid. **How about you?**

I was in the 4th grade. I was working with my teacher on math when some other teacher came in and whispeared into my teacher's ear. Her face expression scared me. But the teacher didn't tel us then.
Then we went to lunch. My class past the teacher's lounge and there was a tv on inside. It showed the towers smoking. I didn't know what was going on so I didn't care that much.
Then after we ate lunch we went to the gymnasium. There was a tv in there. They talked how two planes has hit the twin towers and peaple were working there. That's when it hit me. PEOPLE WERE DYING! So the teachers turned on the tv and we watch that for the rest of the day. and when I got home my older brother turned it on and we watched it. Then my mom got home and started to watch it. After a while my mom put in a movie because it was to depressing for her.
And I don't think making the movie is a good thing. If the money that it was making went to the victam's family's then I would but I couldn't stand watching the towers falling never mind what happened on the plane and in the building.

I remember it very clearly. I was at home that morning and I logged onto my pc to read the current news. I very seldom turn on the tv during the daytime. I tried to go to the CNN site and it was taking such a long time to load that I thought my computer was having problems. When the site finally loaded it said "America Under Attack" or something similar. I remember thinking that if it were a joke it wasn't at all funny. It was difficult to believe so I turned on the tv news to see if it was there as well. I watched for a long time and I cried and I prayed. I felt numb for a few days and it bothered me not to be able to cry. It all became more real when they began to show the names and pictures and tell the stories of those who were killed; the tears flowed freely then.
I wasn't afraid, just shocked and sad as you were.

I was at work in an office building in SD. We had all just heard about planes crashing into the buildings and we looked out the window and saw wheels coming towards our window (we were on the 5th floor) it ended up being a window washer but given what was going on we freaked a bit.

I was at school when everything happened. The teachers were panacky, but never told us anything. I found out when my mom picked me up from a friends house. That day kids went home and i never knew why. I worried about the nation even though i didnt know everything that was happening to protect us. I woke up many mornings wondering if saddam was going to blow us up with weapons of mass destruction. Im glad that nothing drastic hasnt happene yet but i fear for the future.

I just got off the train and on to a bus to work, heard it on my radio. When I got to work, everybody was outside the building, I saw a co-worker coming out of the building, he told me that the build was going to be shut down, everybody was going home.
So, I got back on the bus and went to the train station to get home. When I got home 1 1/2 hours later, I turned on the TV for more info.

I was getting ready to go to a tutorial for a political theory course....i saw it on the news and watched as the second plane crashed into the tower and also as the towers collapsed. That morning was one of the few mornings i got up early to go to class.....always got up late since i lived on campus.....also i could not wait to discuss it's implication in tutorial and strangely when i got there only a few of us knew and since i got there late i was able to say what took place after the second crash....it was a morning of ironies

i was making breakfast for my kids while they were watching cartoons, the cartoons were pre-empted for the news flash and my kids came and got me...i remember everything about that day moreover so do my kids to this day i still don't understand why they pre-empted cartoons for those images i would have preferred my son had not seen that because his dislikes any and all Arab people and associates them all to ossama bin laden,as for my daughter who was much younger at the time doesn't even remember what she ate for breakfast today, but she remembers people falling/throwing themselves out of the towers,as for me every time i hear a plane overhead i get shivers down my spine and every time my brother who is a pilot takes a flight i can barely breathe i sincerely hope no one ever forgets that day even when you have to board a plane and you are in a hurry the extra security measures are there for a good reason
