it's kinda wierd.
here you have the "model minority" argument, where you are trying to show the best and worst of any ethnic group.
but on the other hand, this is america, where people identify themselves primarily by race and ethnicity. People are interested seeing in how other cultures "behave." and they can observe this social experiment in the safety of their own home on TV instead of venturing out scared into some ghetto to see firsthand the "natives".

NO... it doesn't anger me in the least.! Why should it?
What I have noticed is the big loud noise this announcement has made, and how the only group that is screaming RACIEST and FOUL... are the BLACKS... not the Asians, not the Hispanics and not the Whites... JUST THE BLACKS...
Could it be that they realize how, in past episodes of Survivor, the blacks on the teams were carried by the others on the teams when they failed miserably to perform the tasks and showed an almost laughable inability to do simple tasks.
I absolutely LOVE this latest idea... it's about time they settled the question of which race is superior.. AND DO IT ON NATIONAL TV... this should be fun to watch. I just hope the producers don't chicken out because the ACLU sues them or the NAACP threatens a boycott.
Since nobody can tell the TRUTH any longer about social issues, perhaps this new Survivor will settle those questions for us IN AN INDESPUTABLE WAY.!
Oh... and for the people who like to "rate" answers... go ahead... rate away... it doesn''t mean anything and I really don''t care what you think... it just tells me when I am right because the thumbs downers know who and what they are.

I love Survivor.... don't know why, but I do. The fact that the teams are being split by race is for the ratings media hype. Somone already noted.... it's working, we are talking about it. Someone else noted that the players don't mind... heck, I wouldn't mind either, for $1 Million.
Here's to another great season!! My TiVO is set.

Sound cool and fun, wish I could get on it, but I am too old, can't walk half a block.
The smart and lucky survives, look at the last survivor. Evenually they will combine the left overs and it becomes same old same old. But still fun to watch and always someone to root for.

I will watch Survivor. This is a publicity and media stunt to draw in viewers of all races, to boost ratings, and to line their pockets. If any race fails it doesn't mean anything to me.....it just tells me that the individual who wins has the stamina to last and of course, a lot depends on their excercise regiment, diet, and genes pryor to getting on the show.

I think it's a great idea. Why would it anger anyone? No different than breaking teams into women versus men. Can't wait to watch it.

I don't think that they should seperate "race" against "race".It sort of sounds alittle racist to me.There is enough racism in the country already with out seperating people by"race" for some show. What will the producers from Survivor think of next..

I'm willing to watch it before I make any judgements. Apparently the idea is working for them though - we're talking about it.
