Do you actually like to being second-class citizens? When are you going to take the lesbian step and move on up in society to show straight people that you are just as good, or better, than they are, instead subjecting yourselves into the drag queen image perspective?

What? What are you on about. Plenty gay people in power. And No, I don't mean George Bush. I mean real gay people. Maybe not in top government but there are gay mayors (openly) and I think a gay governor (wasn't he married to a woman though-bad example). Hell, Even good ole J. Edgar Hoover is rumoured to have been gay (not so far fetched if you read about him and his two life long companions -his mother and a very handsome man)

Whats wrong with Drag Queens?

Gay individuals have rights and frankly, I'm surprised they have not obtain equal rights with their heterosexual counterparts, such as marriage, inheritance, insurance and the list goes on and on.
I salute the gay rights activitists which have changed the way most gay individuals are perceived. They are not all, and I do repeat not all "drag queens". Many have full time responsible positions, such as a policeman, fireman, doctor, dentist, lawyer etc etc, however because of the discrimination they face if their sexuality were made public, they prefer to remain closeted? The heterosexuals also face such discrimination, yea, right? Educate yourself, you bloody idiot! We are not second class citizens.

Dont get caught up in perceptions of "who is good or better". Thats a trick of the enemy. We all suffer from some sort of sin in our lives. Being gay, lesbian or "straight" does not determine how "good" we are. We are all sinners in God's eyes. Just as I had to turn from the sin of premarital sex and lust for men other than my husband, so must the lesbian turn from premarital sex and lust of other women. A lesbian/gay man will say "but I was born this way" and I answer back the same, "so was I", that is why we MUST be BORN AGAIN. Man will not enter Heaven by his "works" so you can be a "good person" all day long. Christ said "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 and I Corinthians 6:9 reads "Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals.." So there is no "plot" to vilify the sin of homosexuals above any other sin. The fact is its just sin, like all else and you must turn from it...just like we ALL must.

God bless you and keep you...

How much more would you like us to step up?
I'm a Mom first and formost. I'm active in the political field by working with several big city organizations. I'm an artist and work hard to provide for my family.

I don't take crap when I hear it.
I do my best to educate the ignorant and correct misinformation.

What ELSE would you have me do?

I'm bisexual.I stand up for gays, lesbians and bisexuals.Teh thing is not all religious people think homosexuality is a sin. Most of my friends are religious and accept us.They have gay, lesbian and bi friends. So really the only religious people who bash us are homophobes. If we all stick together (gays, lesbian and bisexuals) we can one day make it so they stop trying to cure us etc..Then start trying to cure all the homophobes. On myspace there's support group(profiles) for gays, lesbians and bisexuals..We need more things out there for us.More of us need to stand up for ourselves.

"The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of a mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one."

I think this applies to your way of thought.

No one is better than anyone.

And anytime anyone says there are too many drag queens I jsut mention gay bears!!

if we did that then the straights would say that we are rubbing their sexuality in their face. We can never win.

Yes, I cant wait until the militant butch gay image overrides the queens.
