the first screen that comes up there should be something that tells you how to get into the bios. usually is f1. once you get into the bios change the boot sequence to boot from the cdrom first. this will allow you to boot from the cdrom but when your done make sure to change it back to your hard disk

Open the case and make sure the ribbon wire and power are firmly connected to the hard drive. Then boot up and listen to the drive. Does it click? Does it whine? If yes, you make have a bad hard drive. You may want to download and creat a bootable windows CD from Bart's boot disk website. This will load windows from a cd. There are a few hard drive utilities you can use to try to "fix" the drive. Otherwise I'd buy an new drive, hook it up a primary, install windows again.... then try to hook up the old drive as a secondary. Also...putting the bad drive in the freezer for 2-3 hours to super cool it sometimes helps the drive work for 20-30 minutes. But then it's done....

Well when you start ur computer press 'Del' or 'F1' button contiounsly until BIOS screen not come. Then set/choose ur 'CDROM" as a first booting device (option will be there). Now Save & exit. It will work.

Well you will have to FoRmAt your Hard-disk & don't forget to set active(Primary) to 'C' Drive.

go bios setting
and give preference no. 1 to cd drive
then it will boot from cd
other wise it will try to boot from hard disk
