I had a baby eight weeks ago and haven't gotten mine either. I know of someone who didn't get hers until her baby was 14 months old. I would ask your OB but I wouldn't worry about it in the meantime.

I breastfed for 2 weeks, and didn't get my period until the baby was almost 14 weeks old.
If you don't breastfeed at all, it can return as early as 4 weeks, but if you did breastfeed (no matter how long), it can take as much as 6 months to return!
BTW, if you had unprotected sex while you were breastfeeding, i'd go to the ob-gyn for a pregnancy test before beginning any birth control.

It can take a long time for your cycle to get back to normal, and you should only count the time since you quit nursing. On average after I was finished nursing it took about 6 months . But, why are you even worried about it? While not impossible, it's unlikely you're pregnant again. Use all precautions to prevent pregnancy if you don't want to be , and sit back and relax. Enjoy this time without the PMS.

No you should not be overly concerned. Discuss at your appointment, but it is not unusal for some new mothers to not have a period for several months or longer. Breastfeeding or not is not the only factor. Keep you doctor informed and he/she will monitor you.

Well my son is 11 months old and I stopped breast feeding him at 9/10 month and I just got my first period. It all depends on if you are taking Birth Control or not. That may be the case. I am taking the mini pill it cause my periods be shorter and lighter....which I don't mind. So don't be overly concerned. But just keep it in the back of your mind.

I started my period after 1 month after havinf my baby. But I don't think it is anything to worry about. I would wait until the doctors appointment. I am sure everything is fine. No need to get anxiety over it. Different people start at different times.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Sometimes it takes longer for your body readjust and get back on schedule, especially after breastfeeding. Breastfeeding sometimes delays the return of your menstrual cycle. It may take another month or so to get get back on track. Every one of my pregnancies and recovery were different. Try not to worry.

You shouldn't be too worried. Sometimes it can take awhile for your body to get back to normal after having a baby. It took me 8 weeks to get my period. If you are really worried then call and go to your doctor sooner. He/she is the only one who really knows whats going on. Good luck with everything and the new little one

Mine started a month or so after I stopped breastfeeding... and I did it for almost a year. I was fine... Give it a while, and see it as a gift! Good luck!

hi, ok first of all calm down, your body has just gone through a lot don't stress and make things worse. your body is different from everyone you may not start till next month and when you calm down you might start then. My whole point, don't worry it is normal for it to take time to get back to normal. Good Luck and God Bless. Sarah
