You'll experience less threats on Linux/Macs etc because hardly anybody uses them so it's pointless creating trojans/viruses for them lol. I'd safely say the numebr of viruses/trojans is a 7 figure number aka 1,000,000+

Very, very, very much.
But, guess what? 99.99999% are for Windows. If you take some other OS like any Linux distribution, FreeBSD, Solaris... you will be free of the plague.

thousands, and more are being pumped out. spyware is also something to watch out for, especially the stuff by directrevenue. rootkits are terrible too...
