Absolutely. As human beings we take note of differences between ourselves and other races, it is something we identify whether or not we make the effort. Police are exposed to crime and criminals on a daily basis and I think whether or not they admit it, they make judgments about the individuals and groups they perceive to make the majority of crimes in their community. So even if it goes to a subconscious level, I feel that they cannot help but lump groups together.

I'm sure they already do...reason being is there are those in the world (and yes some of them happen to be police) who believe in racial profiling. It is very hard for a person to overcome their beliefs and thoughts even for a job. I believe a lot of police use racial profiling, as well as other professions too.
It is unfortunate though that racial profiling even exists...in each race there are those one or two handfuls of people who do things to make it bad for the rest of the race, and it puts a stigma that shouldn't necessarily be there.

If you are referring to the US, then the answer is YES. The US is made up of an enormous "Melting Pot" of numerous races and bloodlines. This includes the police. We promote world peace, but in reality we lack it at home in so many ways. Then, we shoot our leaders that attempt to establish peace & harmony. Lincoln-emancipated the slaves. Garfield- only President that was a active minister who preached in his last sermon that one day prayer would be taken out of the schools in America leading to an enormous drug & race problem. McKinley- loved to press the flesh & loved to build new relationships, even as President & the finally Kennedy. He makes plans to stop the Vietnam War & then he is killed. Within 30 days of his death LBJ escalates the war to its highest level which makes his wife "Lady Bird" richer.Just check out the stock she owned in companies that made weapons for use in the Vietnam War. Yes, police will use racial profiling!!!!

Most police are too busy to worry about what race the driver is. You break a law, you get caught, you get pulled over. Most of the time they can't even see into the car enough to tell what race anybody is until they've stopped.

Yes, whether they know it or not, it is a taught thing. I would like to see the day when that no longer exists.
