"You are probably familiar with the term New Age, and you may have heard or read about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. This simply means that we are leaving one age (Pisces), and entering into a new one (Aquarius). This happens every two thousand years - the last one coinciding with the arrival of Christ.

That's a good question.
We're in The Age of Pisces currently. That means that when the sun hits the spring equinox in March, we're in Pisces (the constellation, not the zodiac sign). The age of Aquarius will come in another 200 years or so, and then the sun will be in Aquarius in March!
Previous ages are Aries, (4BC-1200AD or so), Taurus (when the Egyptians built the pyramids, they worshipped the bull for this reason) and so forth.

We started with the Age of Cancer and have worked through Gemini,Taurus, Aries and Pisces. The astrological ages through each sign last approximately 2,160 years and the entire cycle lasts approximately 25,920 years.

We are just finishing up with the Age of Pisces and entering the Age Aquarius.

I think that was preceded by the "Age of Seriously Uptight." That is why that Aquarius Age excited so many people.
