According to The American Association of Suicidology, the 0-5 age group has the lowest rate (0.6 in 2003). Next lowest is 15-25 (9.7 in 2003).

Overall, the lowest suicide rates are among black females. There is some variation by age group, but not much. Peaks are in the early 40s and early 80s.

White males are more likely to commit suicide than other groups. Suicide rates for this group rise sharply from the early teens to their first peak in the early 20s. Rates decline slowly, then peak even higher in the middle 40s. In the middle 60s rate starts to increase again and continues to increase rapidly from then on.

In the year 2000, people age 65 and older made up only 13 percent of the U.S. population but accounted for 18 percent of the suicides. The highest suicide rate was for white men aged 85 and older (59 deaths per 100,000 persons, more than five times the national U.S. rate of 10.6 per 100,000).

According to sociologists, elderly people actually commit suicide more than any other age groups. People 18-25 are second on the list, if I remember correctly. I would have to guess that children have the lowest suicide rates, but that's just my opinion.

Well, what age groups? Without specific age groups I'm afraid the obvious answer is children under five years old.
