My buddy and I just started a new site (www.teamfuzzzy.com) and we have been trying, but to no avail to get more people to visit. we are about to launch a detailed section on the tv series lost and we want to get people going to it. So what is the best way?

1) Submit posts in blogs related to your site's subject matter.
2) Optimize your site so it ranks high in search engine results (aka SEO - Search Engine Optimization) http://www.mistermarkup.com/tips/search-engine-optimization/
3) Advertise. For example, Google AdWords http://adwords.google.com/
Unfortunately, your site is down now (HTTP 503 ServiceUnavailable) so you've lost whatever traffic your question could have generated.

advertise, advertise, advertise! word of mouth is the best(ahem, like this question, hehe). do you have a personal blog? if not, i suggest making one, especially on livejournal. it is more personal and people will likely to visit your site if you are friends with them first. just keep spreading the word as much as you can. you could even make business cards if you want to hand out to buddies, just to remind them to look at your site.
believe me, i'm in the same boat. i'm just starting to be a WAHM(work at home mom) and i have been advertising like crazy too.

your friends will visit and people who visit their page will possibly
