I don't think ALL of them hoot and holler, but the ones that do are just looking for attention. With a few movies it is acceptable and even comical
There are a lot of annoying people at the theater, including but not limited to: people who talk on there phone, teenagers who whisper to each other the whole movie and people translating the movie to someone else, not to mention the hoots and hollers.
If you can't deal with all of this them I won't go to the movies, because its full of inconsiderate people.

I hoot and holler in theaters because it's fun and I want to be in on the action and enjoy myself. I figure if I'm paying 10-15 bucks to see a movie, I can do so however I want. However, I find your question insulting and racist. You assume that it's only black people who do this? I am caucasian. Assumption has made an a** out of you, just FYI.

The question should be rephrased, "Why do ghetto blacks hoot & holler so much at the movie theater?" To answer your question, most black people have no sense of decorum. They don't know that when you go to a movie theater, you go to watch a movie, not listen to some morons telling the film. Next time that happens, do what I do and tell them to put a sock in it.

I think a better question is why do people hoot an holler so much at the movie theater? People do so because they are excited or drunk or showing off for friends or perhaps overwhelmingly ill-mannered. Have you done so? If so, why? I can say for sure that one's race has nothing to do with such behavior.

Well to answer your question, for one, its not ALL Black people that do that so to generalize Black people like that is just as ignorant as the peopl that DO hoot & holler in the theater. The ones that DO hoot & holler, be they Black or whatever, are just ignorant.

are you sure it's black people and not Mexicans or white people? and what makes you think black people are the only ones hooting and hollering in the theaters? you shouldn't put one race in a category for doing something dumb and ignorant. one race shouldn't be blamed for a few bad apples.

"WHY IS IT A BLACK THING?" let me tell you from experience, It isn't black people I have a problem, It's the unsupervised kids/teens!!!
