does it hurt when ur water breaks? i went to the bathroom right and i was done peeing and i stood up and there was more water comeing out .. i told him i hope my water didnt break... it wasnt alot of water but i could have filled half a glass full..... and it didnt smell like pee at all so i dont know what to think?

i just had a ultra sound today at 930 and they said everything was fine but around 1230 i went to the bathroom and thats when it all happend

i called the doctor and this is what he said.... the doctor said if i start leaking and if i start contractin to give him a call back i have to feel my stomach when i get the pains..... ugh i dont even have my bag ready!!!!!!

HMMMMM this is interesting....You water might have just broke. Just because it was not a gush of fluid does not mean that it didn't. But if this is the case you should still be leaking ...it can be like a slow drip. You should call your doctor

How far along are you in the pregnancy? My water broke while I was asleep in bed at 16 weeks. I lost the baby. It does not hurt when the membranes rupture but you do need to go to the doc or hospital and get checked out. Could be time to give birth!! Congrats!!

It could be your water or you could have had an accident the only way to be sure is to get it checked out if it was your water you do not want to wait around because once the fluid starts to leak out the baby loses valuable time. If you are having contraction go to the hospital ASAP. Congrats

It might have been your water. You should go to the hospital if you aren't sure. No it doesn't hurt, and when mine was broke it didn't smell. It never "gushed" either. It would trickle on and off. When it trickles it doesn't mean a longer labor. My water broke at 9am and I had my baby by 12:56pm right a 5 hours. It would trickle on and off. Good Luck

sometimes the baby presses against your baldder so much, that you don't realize you have just peed, and ometimes pee don't have a smell, it doesn't hurt when your water breaks at all, now, if the gushing doesn't stop, and your clothes stay very wet for a small period of time, than I would say yes, your water broke, good luck to you and congrads on your new baby

Having your water break doesn't hurt. What it does feel like is peeing but not being able to stop it. I remember when mine broke and I felt like I was peeing but I couldn't stop my self.

call your doc then go to the hospital they can test to see if your water broke and do a ultrasound to see fluid levels YOU SHOULD ALWAYS go to the docs if you think water broke the baby CAN NOT LIVE a long time with no water. My labor was induced because of low water low water is not great 4 the baby.

It didn't hurt at all with me. You really need to call your doctor though! It sounds like your water did break and you need to see the doctor right away.

you didn't say how far along you were in your pregnancy but it really does sound like your water broke. you should call your dr. and tell him to find out what he wants to do at this point. I had two premature pregnancies (10 and 8 weeks early) and it is best to get checked out right away if you have questions.

it does not hurt when water breaks. You need to go to the doctor and get checked. They have to induce you if you don't start labor yourself. Your water broke, so your uterus is now "open" to the outside world, you could get an infection if not careful. Go to your doctor, tell them your water broke (it's not an emergency to go to ER, but you need to see your OB very soon).
