Once upon a time, I was all athleticism. I had no low post moves or footwork. Everything was about out jumping my opponent. Then, feet and knee injuries robbed me of my ups. I watched and studied Tim Duncan during the 1999 NBA Playoffs. What I learned by watching him greatly improved my game.

My dad played D3 hoop in college so he is pretty competitive. Besides working on drills and playing in the driveway, he would bring me to watch him play in his leagues.
When I got older he would bring my brother and I to play open gyms with older guys so there would be enough players. If you play with people bigger than you, it forces you to play like a guard and or develop moves. You can 't just go up over the top of people. So I took all that back to high school. When I grew to 6'5, coach had me at center, but I could still handle the ball like a guard. Helpful at times.

I learned mostly from this coach that I had. He was great because he not only taught us how to play the game ( as far as skillz go and what I already knew about basketball befor he was my coach) but he also explained the game to us and taught us the FUNDAMENTALS of the game which gave us a better understanding of baksetball.

In a league in the local county jail. I got lucky and some kid I was in with played for the local University (which shall remain un-named, but is in the MAC), and he was in for a DUI. He took me under his wing and showed me a lot about the game. NO FUNNY BUSINESS!!!

my granpa, but i should be playing soccer, he was one of the coaches for El Salvador for soccer, he went to the world cup, i should be better but i suck at soccer.
im really good at basketball though.
