I don't know if "affectionate" or "loyal" are the right words. I think falconers are seen more as non-dangerous entities who provide a good, steady supply of food. It's easier to put up with the human than to have to do serious hunting.

Yes, well, some are and some aren't. Generally, affectionate owls are the minority, but people are breeding and selling them, so people will stop taking Moore from the wild. Owls have been known to cuddle up with their favorite people. Some may love you and leave you, others are life partners. Owls aren't robots, each his its own personality. Some love to be stroked and fussed, just look at YouTube videos, others hate it. Some just tolirate it for a tasty morsel.

i once rescued a hawk with a damaged wing .if i hadn't been wearing thick leather work gloves at the time he would have damaged my hands badly
they are wild creatures and cant be tamed[ a bit like the wife actually]

i don't know about affectionate but they are loyal. i know someone who owns a hawk but you have to way them and there food every day you can't go on holiday unless you know some one experianced who can look after it
